Darum geht es beim 1. Internationalen Diabetes-Workshop am 06.03.2020 in Frankfurt am Main:

Diabetes has become an international health crisis – not only in the affluent societies but also in the emerging markets. Unfortunately the symptom-oriented "mainstream medicine" concentrates on new technical advances such as insulin pumps or promotes mutilating interventions (bariatric surgery) rather than curing the disease. On the other hand, extensive basic research provides clear information on the emergence of diabetic diseases due to our no longer species-appropriate life in 21. Century – with a “sugar intoxication” of the population at its center. Added to this are the manifold pollutant loads from the technical environment. Knowing the roots offers the chance for an effective and sustained treatment:

„Prevention und Rehabilitation of Diabetes – the time has come!“

During the workshop, the manifold factors influencing the development and course of diabetes will be presented by international experts. In addition, professional institutions will document their already successful treatments. At the end the workshop will collect present perspectives and measures suitable in everyday life for the prevention and rehabilitation of diabetes. We deliberately do not differentiate between diabetes type 1 and type 2, since both forms have a different genesis, but both can be eliminated, prevented or at least alleviated by selective lifestyle measures.

So the message is: “we do not need a new medicine, we need a new health culture" which is brought about by a society that feels like a co-creative community which favors the well known motto: “yes we can!” resulting in an optimum  health for everybody.
